Come Stay on the Farm!

Our cosy cabin is nestled amongst the rolling hills of Castledonovan, situated beside a Bronze Age Stone Row looking onto the Castle with a backdrop of magnificent mountains.

Guests have access to the farm walk which runs under old Oak trees, alongside a beautiful river, a tributary of the Illen, that runs on down to Drimoleague then Skibbereen and out to the sea at Baltimore, the river has beautiful pools and falls where children can play happily for hours, theres also a stunning waterfall and swimming hole with a magical gazebo, a wonderful place to sit and listen to the sounds of nature.

Drimoleague Heritage Walkways provide visitors with walks quite literally in every direction! You can walk along the far side of the river down to Drimoleague (the nearest village) on the Cascades Walk or the Glonaclohy Walk takes you up the mountain past lakes to panaramic views of West Cork . Serious walkers can keep going all the way to Gougane Barra in the footsteps of St Finbarr. For more info see Drimoleague Heritage Walkways.

The cabin sleeps 4. There is a double bed, 2 single beds and sofa bed and camping available if desired for extra guests. There is a basic but well equipped kitchen (cold water only), with a fridge, sink, 4 ring gas hob, electric kettle and toaster. The toilet is a stones throw away and there is an outdoor gas shower behind the cabin. There is a picnic table and BBQ on request.

Local Ammenties

The nearest village is Drimoleague 4 miles away and provides a very well stocked supermarket for all basic needs, a chemist, butcher, an excellent charity shop, several pubs and a pitch and putt course. Dunmanway, Skibbereen and Bantry are the nearest towns all within 20 mins drive and offer lots of activities for visitors like horse riding, swimming, fishing, kayaking, zorbing, paintballing, art exhibitions, heritage centres, a cinema etc. Only 1 hours drive from Cork City.
